Text Box: Your credit union may have two open board seats at the February 2009 Annual Board Meeting. These board seats are a three year commitment. As a not for profit financial institution, all board positions are volunteer. There is a monthly meeting to attend, generally it is the same day each month, can be moved due to when the 1st falls. Currently it is the second Thursday; this may change at the organizational meeting in 2009. Board members are expected to attend the monthly meeting. Two of the twelve meetings are executive board meetings (not all need to attend), and we have one planning session. There are several committees you can volunteer for as well, there may be additional responsibilities involving more time. Qualifications: Must be a member for at least one year in good standing. A financial background is helpful. Please go to our website (www.kvcu.org) and print the Board of Directors Inquiry document. Fill it out and return to the credit union office by 2:00 pm on January 15th, 2009.

Should you decide to receive your refund by paper check, please be aware that both payees must be present to sign the check. A hold will be placed on any check that has been signed by only one of the payees. If you are filing your taxes electronically (yourself or with a tax professional) please verify your account number and the routing number with the credit union first. Incorrect information will delay your tax refund from being direct deposited. No member will be allowed to direct deposit a non-members or non-joint members funds. Remember, a 24 hour notice is required if you will be getting more than $1000 back in cash or by a withdrawal from your account.
